The Santa Cruz County Lacrosse Association is an independent, non-profit youth sports organization and a 501c(3) corporation. Our club was established in 2005 with the goal to promote and develop lacrosse in Santa Cruz County. We strive to develop players and coaches with passion and respect for the exciting game of lacrosse in a fun and safe environment.


Summer Lacrosse Opportunities in Santa Cruz County

For those families that want to continue to play lacrosse this Summer and potentially in the Fall / Winter, here are the options available in Santa Cruz County. 



Team NorCal - Offers day camps in Palo Alto and overnight camps in Bear Valley

ADVNC Lacrosse Offers day camps around the Bay Area in Atherton, San Fransicso, Sonoma, and other locations. Best in the West camp in Sunnyvale. Also offers an overnight camp in Lake Tahoe. 

Nike Sports Camp Offers a day camp at Stanford

Verve Lacross Offers Girls lacrosse day camps

Vipers Lacrosse Offers boys lacrosse day camps and faceoff camp in San Jose

Extreme Lacrosse Offers boys and girls camps

Bixby Ballers Offers Boys and Girls day camps for beginners and experienced players in Salinas.

For younger players there is a camp offered through Capitola Parks and Rec Dept

Day/ Time: M-Friday 9-12noon, June 21-25

Ages: 6-13 yrs

Primary fee: $168

Number of players: 10-25


Travel Team and Competitive Lacrosse

If your player wants to play at the next level, travel teams offer more coaching and game experience.

Team NorCal  Tryouts May 23rd for boys and girls. Coached by our own Colleen Niklaus.

Chauncey Boys  Has a 12U and 14U boys travel team based in Los Gatos. This is the closest travel team to Santa Cruz. They are attending tournaments in Santa Cruz, Petaluma, San Diego and Tahoe.

Bixby Ballers  Offers Boys and Girls Travel Teams out of Monterey.

Premier Lacrosse League All Star Game in San Jose - The PLL is a professional lacrosse league and San Jose is hosting the game July 18th at 7:00pm. This is a great opportunity to see some of the best professional lacrosse players in the country compete. We are going to try and organize a group ticket purchase for the game. More details to come.

COVID-19 Protocol


Warriors Lacrosse is concerned for the safety of the players and their families regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The protocols and procedures documented in the COVID-19 Safety Procedures and Protocols will be followed in order to minimize the possibility of the spread of the virus. All players and parents are required to read, agree to, sign, and return the Procedures and Protocols document and the Parent/Player Contract for Return to Play in order to participate in the Warriors Lacrosse programs.


2022 Registration Opens in October


Programs are available for boys in the 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U age groups, and for girls in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and HS age groups.

Registration opens in November and closes December 31.

The season runs from February to May. Schedule and details are subject to change due to Covid-19 uncertainties.

Teams practice twice per week during the season and games are on most Saturdays and possibly a few Sundays in March-May.

Warriors Registration Information
Registration for the 2021 season will open in November.

The 6 month lacrosse season goes as follows:

Fun scrimmages on Saturdays in the Fall. 

Season - Feb - mid May.  Two practices a week. Games are on Saturdays starting March through April. End of year tournament and party in the beginning to mid-May 2021. There are approximately 10-12 games during the season in addition to end of season tournament(s). Details are subject to change due to Covid-19 uncertainties.

If you consider the number of practices and games and quality of the coaching as compared with other sports, the cost is comparable to other sports.
